As we work to continue improving your transportation experience, our team is continuously evaluating riders’ needs, existing service routes and schedules, and opportunities to optimize Metrobus service. This leads to service adjustments that are rolled out two-to-three times per year — always moving us closer to meeting riders where they are and helping them get where they need to go. Service adjustments can include anything from schedule changes to revised, new, or sunseted routes. The adjustments detailed below are outlined specifically by route number, and will be reflected in all Metrobus schedules, maps, apps, and other materials effective July 20, 2026. Service adjustments will be rolled out for Routes 2, 183, 211 Flagler MAX, 601 Metro Express, 602 TransitWay Local, and 836 Express.
 

Route 2

The route will be served by 40-foot buses operated by Miami-Dade Transit.


Schedule adjustments will be made to reflect current traffic conditions and improve reliability, seven days a week.  

Weekday

Weekday service will be adjusted from 20 minutes to every 30 minutes, better reflecting ridership and the larger bus size.

Southbound

  • The first trips will leave NE 84 St / NE 2 Ave every 30 minutes from 4:57a.m. to 11:27 a.m.
  • Trips will leave approximately every 35 minutes from 12:02 p.m. to 5:52 p.m.
  • Trips will leave every 30 minutes from 6:27 p.m. until the last trip at 10:27 p.m.

Northbound

  • The first trips will leave downtown Miami from SW 1 Ave / SW 1 St every 30 minutes from 5:10 a.m. to 7:10 a.m.
  • Trips will leave approximately every 30 minutes from 7:43 a.m. to 11:43 a.m.
  • Trips will leave every 35 minutes from 12:15 p.m. to 6:39 p.m.
  • Trips will leave every 30 minutes from 7:10 p.m. until the last trip at 11:04 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday

Southbound trips will leave NE 84 St / NE 2 Ave as currently scheduled; there will be minor adjustments throughout the trips.

Northbound trips will leave Downtown as currently scheduled; there will be minor adjustments throughout the trips.

Route 183

The route will be realigned to serve W Dixie Hwy north of NE 186 St going to and from Aventura Mall Terminal.

Schedule adjustments will be made to reflect current traffic conditions and improve reliability, seven days a week.

Weekday
Westbound

  • Morning trips before 1 p.m. will leave Aventura Mall Terminal up to a minute later; the first two trips will leave at 4:20 a.m. and 4:49 a.m.
  • Afternoon trips will leave approximately every 24 minutes from 1:21 p.m. to 6:52 p.m.
  • Evening trips will leave every 20 minutes from 7:13 p.m. until the last trip at 11:33 p.m.

Eastbound

  • The first trips will leave Okeechobee Station at 4:30 a.m., 5:00 a.m., 5:20 a.m., and 5:40 a.m.
  • Trips between 6:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. will leave up to three minutes earlier.
  • Trips will leave every 20 minutes from 8:53 a.m. to 11:53 a.m.
  • Trips will leave approximately every 23 minutes from 12:15 p.m. to 6:52 p.m.
  • Trips will leave every 20 minutes from 7:13 p.m. until the last trip at 11:33 p.m.

Saturday
Westbound

  • The first trips will leave Aventura Mall Terminal at 5:00 a.m., 5:30 a.m., and 6:00 a.m.
  • Trips will leave approximately every 33 minutes from 6:25 a.m. to 11:24 a.m.
  • Trips will leave approximately every 35 minutes from 11:59 a.m. to 6:56 p.m.
  • Trips will leave approximately every 30 minutes from 7:25 p.m. to 9:44 p.m.
  • The last three trips will leave at 10:14 p.m., 11:10 p.m., and 12:30 a.m.

Eastbound

  • The first trips will leave Okeechobee Station every 30 minutes from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
  • Trips will leave approximately every 35 minutes from 9:32 a.m. to 7:41 p.m.
  • Trips will leave every 30 minutes from 8:12 p.m. to 9:42 p.m.
  • The last three trips will leave at 10:12 p.m., 11:12 p.m., and 12:12 a.m.

Sunday
Westbound

  • The first trips will leave Aventura Mall Terminal at 5:00 a.m., 6:00 a.m., 6:31 a.m., 7:02 a.m., and 7:33 a.m.
  • Trips will leave approximately every 35 minutes from 8:05 a.m. to 7:22 p.m.
  • Evening trips will leave at 7:57 p.m., 8:57 p.m., 10:03 p.m., 11:10 p.m., and the last trip at 12:08 a.m.

Eastbound

  • The first trips will leave Okeechobee Station approximately every 30 minutes from 5:00 a.m. to 7:04 a.m.
  • Trips will leave approximately every 35 minutes from 7:35 a.m. to 6:49 p.m.
  • The last trips will leave at 7:25 p.m., 8:35 p.m., 9:40 p.m., 10:44 p.m., and 11:48 p.m.

Route 211 Flagler MAX

A new stop will be added at 6th Avenue on this limited stop route.

Route 601 Metro Express

The weekday southbound 7½ minute service frequency will begin later.  Trips will leave Dadeland South Station from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Route 602 Transitway Local

Weekday service will be adjusted to reflect ridership.
  • Rush hour service, northbound in the morning and southbound in the afternoon, will be adjusted from 10 minutes to every 15 minutes.
  • Southbound service between 10:00 p.m. and midnight will be adjusted.  Trips will leave Dadeland South Station every 30 minutes from 10:15 p.m. until 11:45 p.m.
  • Overnight hourly service will remain as currently scheduled.
Weekend schedule adjustments will be made to reflect current traffic conditions and improve reliability.

Saturday
Northbound 

  • Trips will leave SW 344 St Park & Ride bus terminal as currently scheduled; there will be minor adjustments throughout the trips.

Southbound

  • Trips between 11:15 a.m. and 7:15 p.m. will leave Dadeland South Station five minutes later.
  • Trips between 7:45 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. will leave five minutes earlier.

Sunday 

  • Northbound trips will leave as currently scheduled; there will be minor adjustments throughout the trips.
  • Southbound trips will leave as currently scheduled; there will be minor adjustments throughout the trips.

Route 836 Express

Eastbound

  • A new morning trip will leave Dolphin Station Park & Ride at 7:30 a.m.

Westbound

  • A new afternoon trip will leave Downtown Miami from NW 8 St / NW 1 Ave at 4:40 p.m.
  • The 4:56 p.m. trip will leave later at 5:01 p.m.
  • The 5:31 p.m. trip will leave later at 5:35 p.m.
